Synapse-Datadog Admin Guide

Configuration

Synapse-Datadog requires a Datadog API key and application key. For information on how to manage these keys, please visit the Datadog API documentation.

Setting API key for global use

To set-up a global API key:

> datadog.setup.apikey myapikey
Setting Synapse-Datadog API key for all users.

Using per-user API keys

A user may set-up their own API key:

> datadog.setup.apikey --self myapikey
Setting Synapse-Datadog API key for the current user.

Setting application key for global use

To set-up a global application key:

> datadog.setup.appkey myappkey
Setting Synapse-Datadog application key for all users.

Using per-user application keys

A user may set-up their own application key:

> datadog.setup.appkey --self myappkey
Setting Synapse-Datadog application key for the current user.

Permissions

Package (synapse-datadog) defines the following permissions:
power-ups.datadog.user           : Allows a user to issue queries to the Datadog API. ( default: false )

You may add rules to users/roles directly from storm:

> auth.user.addrule visi power-ups.datadog.user
Added rule power-ups.datadog.user to user visi.

or:

> auth.role.addrule ninjas power-ups.datadog.user
Added rule power-ups.datadog.user to role ninjas.

Exported APIs

Synapse-Datadog does not currently export any APIs.

Node Actions

Synapse-Datadog does not add any node actions to Optic.

Onload Events

Synapse-Datadog does not use any onload events.
