Research Tool

The Research Tool can be accessed from the Optic Toolbar:

The Research Tool is the primary tool used to interact with Synapse. Using the Research Tool, you can create, ask about (query), view, navigate, modify, and annotate (tag) data in Synapse.

The Research Tool supports Synapse’s Fork and Merge workflow.

The Research Tool includes a number of Display Modes that allow you to visualize data in different ways. Many Research Tool features are consistent across all display modes - you work with Synapse data in the same way regardless of how you visualize the data. Each display mode also has mode-specific features to optimize that particular visualization.
